House

The oldest structures of the Alharía are certainly more than 500 years old. In many construction steps it has been renovated and remodeled, so that today, when you look closely, you can imagine many forgotten functions. Much has been built and renovated also in recent decades. The finca currently has seven guest rooms, a salon and two kitchens, which are set over two floors around a green patio. In addition, a bath with bathing pool and sauna (both heated with wood), a pool, an Alberca for water storage and cooling, a clay oven, an olive oil mill and a 100-liter distillery was built and a workshop set up.

The finca draws electricity from its own photovoltaic system and water from its own sources. Our most productive source is one kilometer from the house – from there we feed drinking water to the house and store process water in tanks. For hot water treatment we use solar panels, heating is decentralized with wood stoves.

The two-storey house is partially in need of renovation. On the one hand, the roof and intermediate floor need basic renovation, on the other hand, we plan smaller and larger changes to make the house comfortable.
